With a forest school ethos, the Nature Guardians group aimed to promote creativity, self-esteem and confidence through exploring and creating within the natural world of Tewkesbury Nature Reserve!
From exploring habitats, building shelters and rafts to mini-beast hunting and pond dipping, alongside fun arts and crafts activities and games. There was something for each individual to enable them to thrive and enjoy being outside in their local space.
As part of the Green Lung Project, Nature Guardians provided a FREE safe space for 5-11 year old’s to connect with nature. There is widespread evidence that spending time in green spaces positively affects mental and physical health. This project helped to increase the mental well-being of those who attended.
The learnings from this project have been incorporated into our current Outdoor Learning Project, with FREE family events being held throughout the school holidays. Check our Outdoor Learning Page to find out more, or the Upcoming Events Page to book onto family activities.
