Tewkesbury Nature Reserve needs your support!

Our reserve would not be what it is today without the generous donations made by our supporters. We are constantly looking to enhance this wonderful resource by projects made possible through your donations

Volunteer

Tewkesbury Nature Reserve is a community-run organisation, which relies primarily on the efforts of volunteers. If you enjoy nature and value having this wonderful green space on your doorstep, please get involved. There are many different ways you can help.

We run regular work parties on the reserve, enhancing the fields for both wildlife and people. This could involve keeping the paths clear, maintaining fences, picking up litter or even weeding out invasive or alien species!

But there are also plenty of opportunities for the less physically active. You may be able to help with wildlife surveys – not just observing the wildlife but also maintaining records. We would like to expand our educational activities across all ages, and you may have knowledge or experience that would help with this. You may even have experience of writing bids to obtain grants, of securing sponsorship, or other fund-raising activities. Perhaps you would like to help write a newsletter? Sometimes we even need new trustees or members for our management committee. We would like to formalise our volunteer groups through some form of “Friends” group, but that in itself requires someone with a flair for organisation and record keeping.

If you would like to get involved in any way, please contact us.
