We are passionate about inspiring everyone in our community, irrespective of age or background, to love and care for wildlife and enjoy the amazing things that can happen when land and water mix.

In addition to encouraging a love of wildlife, we believe it is important to spread the message that 40% of all species rely on and benefit from freshwater wetlands.

For humans, too, the benefits of spending time in or near nature can speed recovery from illness, as well as helping everyone to reduce the stress levels of modern life.

Our current projects (‘Nature Guardians’, ‘Do One Thing’ and ‘Wildlife and Water for Well-being’) aim to connect people with nature for their health and well-being, as well as learning about and conserving the local environment. This includes school visits, youth group activities, themed-walks, walk and talks, volunteer activities or activities for sustainability, as well as nature-based craft activities and photography events.
