With thanks to our funders from LEADER, Natural England, Gloucestershire Environment Trust and Severn Trent we have now enhanced the reserve.
We can particularly thank the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development for funding our project – Tewkesbury Nature Reserve, tourism attractions and infrastructure
- a new 12 space car park
- gateway signs to advertise our presence
- educational lecterns around the reserve
- waymarker posts indicating the route and information about our river and meadow walks
- secure fencing, gates and viewing platforms around some fields and reed beds (extra sheep proofing)
In addition we have ourselves funded an updated informative leaflet distribution around Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
